1. Who we are and what this policy covers
MySuperResume is a ResumeGenCV product. Both services are developed and managed by the same independent developer, and MySuperResume is not a separate company. It provides an online resume builder, CV maker, cover letter builder, resume-to-job matching, interview preparation, templates, and related career tools. In this policy, “MySuperResume,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that independent developer and the MySuperResume.com website and application.
This policy applies when you visit our websites, create or use an account, build or upload documents, purchase a paid service, contact support, or otherwise use MySuperResume. It does not govern third-party websites or services that have their own privacy notices.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use MySuperResume, we may collect:
- Account and contact data: your name, email address, account identifiers, authentication information, preferences, and support communications.
- Resume and application data: information you type, upload, import, generate, or save, including employment history, education, skills, contact details, profile photos, resumes, CVs, cover letters, job descriptions, and interview-preparation notes.
- Purchase and payment data: product, price, currency, transaction status, billing identifiers, receipts, and limited payment-related details provided to us by Stripe. Stripe processes payment method information. MySuperResume purchases are one-time payments, not subscriptions.
- Usage and device data: pages and features used, clicks, scrolling, session activity, referring pages, browser and device type, operating system, language, approximate location, IP address, timestamps, cookie identifiers, error logs, and performance data.
- Communications: information you include when you contact support, report a problem, or send feedback.
Please include only information you are entitled to use. A resume can contain sensitive or highly personal information, so review documents before uploading or sharing them.
3. How we use data and our legal bases
We use personal data to:
- create and secure your account and provide the features you request;
- store, edit, generate, export, and manage your resumes and other application materials;
- process one-time purchases, prevent payment fraud, and maintain transaction records;
- provide support and send service, security, billing, and account communications;
- measure performance, understand feature usage, diagnose problems, and improve MySuperResume;
- protect users and the platform from fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and other security threats; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving a secure service, your consent for optional analytics or similar technologies where required, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
4. Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies
We use necessary technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and core service operation. We also use analytics tools to understand traffic and product interaction. Where applicable law requires it, non-essential analytics technologies are used based on your consent.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics helps us understand visits and feature usage. It may process events, page information, browser and device data, approximate location, and identifiers such as first-party cookie IDs. Google provides controls for analytics storage and data use. Learn more in Google’s information for partner sites and Privacy Policy.
Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity helps us understand how visitors and users interact with pages through tools such as session recordings, heatmaps, click and scroll data, navigation patterns, and technical device data. Clarity may use cookies and pseudonymous identifiers. Learn more in the Microsoft Clarity documentation and Microsoft Privacy Statement.
You can restrict cookies through your browser and use available consent controls. Blocking optional technologies may reduce analytics collection but should not prevent access to the core resume-building service. Browser controls apply to that browser and device and may need to be set again if you clear cookies.
5. Service providers and data sharing
We share data only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve MySuperResume; process payments; comply with law; or complete a business transaction. Our main service providers include:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud infrastructure, storage, delivery, backups, security, and related technical services. See the AWS Privacy Notice.
- Hetzner for hosting, servers, networking, storage, backups, and related infrastructure. See the Hetzner Privacy Policy.
- Stripe for one-time payment processing, authentication, fraud detection, and related payment analytics. Stripe may act as a processor or an independent controller for certain payment activities. See the Stripe Privacy Policy and Privacy Center.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for the analytics purposes described above.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or establish and defend legal claims. If ownership or operation of MySuperResume is transferred, information may be transferred with the service subject to appropriate confidentiality, notice, and privacy protections.
6. International data transfers
Our providers may process data in the European Economic Area, the United States, and other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use contractual and other recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses.
7. Data retention and account deletion
We keep account data and user-created content while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Retention may also depend on the type of record, your settings, security needs, and legal requirements.
Delete your account and data
- Sign in to MySuperResume.
- Open Account.
- Select Delete account and confirm.
This permanently deletes your MySuperResume account and all associated user-created data, including stored resumes, CVs, cover letters, job descriptions, and interview-preparation content. Account deletion cannot be undone.
Deletion from active systems begins when you confirm the request. Copies in encrypted backups may remain until those backups are overwritten through our normal backup cycle and are not restored except for disaster recovery. We may retain limited records when required for tax, accounting, payment, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations. Stripe and analytics providers may retain data they process under their own legal obligations and retention policies. Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer reasonably identify you may also be retained.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
You can update certain account information inside MySuperResume and delete your account through Account → Delete account. For another privacy request, email support@resumegencv.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable law permits.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls, secure communications, monitoring, and infrastructure protections. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential, use a unique password, and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
10. Children
MySuperResume is not directed to children under 16. If you are below the age at which you can consent to data processing or enter a contract in your country, use the service only with authorization from a parent or legal guardian. Contact us if you believe a child provided data without the required authorization.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to MySuperResume, our providers, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice when required.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@resumegencv.com. You can also contact the same independent developer through ResumeGenCV on X or ResumeGenCV on LinkedIn, or review our Terms of Service.
